Direct-push drilling advances specialized tooling into the subsurface without conventional augers or rotary drilling. The method is well suited to rapid environmental investigations, continuous soil sampling, groundwater sampling and shallow subsurface profiling. Its compact footprint and reduced cuttings generation make it particularly useful on developed, restricted-access and environmentally sensitive sites.
